Hi All,
I am working on an open source project using which is using cyclone IV EP4CE22F. Everything was working as per planned when all of a sudden my kit stops identifying on my laptop through USB Blaster. The kist is working as it is getting heated a little whereas the LEDs are not working which were linked to the code (I suspect the code got faulty but to update it I need blaster to work hence, a problem) IDK what happened which caused it this error. Anyone, please help! Thanks in advanceLink Copied

USB Blaster is damaged may be because of common ground issues Best Regards, Anand Raj Shankar (This message was posted on behalf of Intel Corporation)- Mark as New

Hi Anand,
First of all thanks for answering and yes, the USB blaster is being detected by my host machine and I have tried two different Blasters, both of which are being detected by the host machine whereas the FPGA is not beign recognised. Regards, Nipun Sharma- Mark as New

Hello,
I am using 2 machines simultaneously on which I have Quartus 14.1 and on one I have Quartus prime 17.1 lite edition. I checked the test points on my kit which are giving fine results even the FPGA is heating up a bit like it used to when it was working. Regards- Mark as New

Hi,
You can check the board power components and regulators on board. FPGA may be damaged. Best Regards, Anand Raj Shankar (This message was posted on behalf of Intel Corporation)
