Hi there,
I am looking for something similar to discontinued 8051 Jam Byte Code Player.
So, kind of embedded C code able to program fpga via JTAG ( recommended by Intel )
Well , it could be 8051 Jam Byte Code Player again, but it seems Intel has dropped this software.
Or maybe someone has different idea how to program MAX 10 in embedded enviroment from scrach ?
Link to latest 8051 Jam Byte Code Player would be also apritiated.
@intel Can you provide link for me ? Or to similar solution ?
Best regards
Gorski Adam

Well the Intel info page on the JAM STAPL bytecode player still exists here:
but the on page links to the software downloads are basically all dead, and say contact your Intel sales info, the software is all deprecated.
So that is probably your only choice.
Altera used to leave all the pages with old software up for access, but Intel now likes to deprecate all the old stuff.

Hi All,
Thanks to JohnT regarding attached file.
Just one more question.
What does it means that Intel drops things like that ?
Something like that may happen to other things like MAX10 family , Cyclone V Soc etc. ( Empirion devices already gone )
Specially when expected for very long time Cyclone 10 Soc gone somwhere....
Do they have any roadmap ?
I plan to use Max10 and CycloneV Soc together, but there is no wider overview how long it will stay in production.
Answer like I already have is "for now it is recommended for new products" is not enough. What in 5 years perspective ? Longer ?
Seeing dropped important things, I really don't know where is Intel heading.
Is there something worse than what happened to fpga market ?
Amd bought Xilinx. Intel bought Altera.
For what ? To destroy fpga idea ?
Best regards

Hi,
Max 10 and Cyclone V SOC will continue for at least 5 more years. Usually the device drop is due to not much demand from the market anymore.
