Hi All, I'm hoping someone can assist me......I've got a new HD monitor (BenQ E2200HD), but when I connect to my Dell 3100 (Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chip with latest Dell-authorised driver 6.14.10.4543) the highest resolution windows (XP) will allow is WXGA on 1440x900. In fact the resolution looks worse then when i used the old default Dell monitor that was limited to 1280*1024. The monitor itself is fine as when I connect to a self-made PC, via DVI-D, with a nvidia GTS250 graphics card the resolution hits 1920x1080 and looks excellent. I'm connecting with a VGA/D-sub cable as it's all the Dell can support. I imagined that an HD monitor would automatically give me full HD but it appears I may be restricted by the chipset. Can anyone advise if this is correct and also whether I can make changes to the chipset to get to 1920*1080?
