My new Clevo M570TU Montevina laptop has a Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN with the latest driver running on Windows 7 x64 (13.0.0.107). I get bluescreens several times a day. If I leave the laptop on when I go to sleep, I often will find that it has automatically restarted because of a BSoD sometime during the night. The stop error is 0x000000d1 and I believe the BSoD says DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL refering to NETw5s64.sys.
It seems the BSoD occurs a lot when utilizing the my WLAN connection a bit more than just surfing. That is running 3-4 torrents, streaming Internet radio and surfing at the same time. I use the newest uTorrent client which again uses the latest Java RE (1.8.5 and 6u17). I am at the moment not using any anti virus software.
In addition to the bluescreens, I often lose my WLAN connection. WLAN is however fine on my other laptops. In these cases I get the event ID 5010 referring to NETw5s64 in my in my Event Log. I resolve this issue by disabling and reenabling the WLAN card, but this is very annoying.
I'm starting to think that the driver is faulty, WLAN on Windows 7 x64 is unstable at the moment, or that maybe my WLAN adapter is faulty.
I ran MemTest on my laptop the whole last night without any errors. I am considering trying another torrent client.
Anybody else having these problems? Any tips is highly appreciated as I'm getting fed up.
Update: I've disabled 11n and power saving on the adapter, but it keeps on giving me bluescreens. A Google search shows that this is a common problem with these Intel adapters. It would really be nice if Intel would acknowledge and address these issues.

I apologize for this inconvenience. Please keep in mind the direct support for Intel® wireless adapters is through the computer manufacturer (O.E.M.) since they integrated the adapters in their systems. They will escalate the case to Intel® if necessary as part of a mutual pre-established agreement.

Hi mojoe,
1) I have a fritz! box (model 7141) as AP. Its about 3m away and sending with g standard.
2) Traffic passing are only files (either downloading or transferring from other pc's connected with LAN)
3) EDIT: here we go again. This dumpfile is just from last night after about 6h downloading with 16000 kbps and idle. I hope you can make use of it.

Same problem here. ThinkPad R500 and Ovislink Airlive WN-300R. Happens usually under heavy SSH load (winscp).

I've also been getting a blue screen consistently. It seems to only happen when I go into or come out of sleep mode. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and have applied the latest 13.1.1.1 driver. Below is the latest mini dump file.

Your issue is different than the one presented above (different crash). We are anticipating a fix for both issues in the very near future.
I have a question about your issue: Does your machine take a long time to enter sleep? Were you connected to wireless before entering sleep?

after a lot of problems with the wifi drv, pc specs: HP DV5 1161 en (Intel 5100), W7/64bit OS, with the drv version 13.1.1.1 i have no more BSOD for 7-10 days...
In the past i had the usual BSOD: utorent+CPU load....
Of course I expect a better driver from Intel to completly solve this issue

Yes, I've installed the 13.1.1.1 version of the driver, but still get bluescreens when the PC goes to sleep mode while the wireless is engaged.

Hi,
Are you sure the wifi drv (NETw5s64.sys) is the culprit? Bios update? W7 up to date?
I remember that i read about this type of problem (BSOD when pc goes to sleep), probably on a w7 forum and i think they may have a fix...
Pls mention if BSOD comes from NETw5s64.sys
Good luck!

Yep. I have everything fully updated and I do see the netw5s64.sys in the bluescreen minidump (which I've posted on this thread). I cannot see what else it could be.

A newer wireless SW release is out. It contains a new driver 13.2.0.30. If possible, please update your wireless software. This build addresses some of the stability issues that you are encountering but not all. Please visit Intel support for download.

It's a week ago since you posted about a newer driver. Where can I find it?
I'm in trouble when I can't use WLAN in Windows 7 and I expect that Intel is able to fix their problems!

Same here, only started getting these problems once my DSL was upgraded and I started downloading at a much faster rate. Now I keep getting randomly disconnected, which wouldn't be so bad if Windows detected the issue and automatically recovered, but it doesn't.
Where are the new files?
