Need Information on support for wifi roaming on Linux platform.

How to enable wifi roaming on linux?As mentioned in product spec linux has limited feature support. Please let me know the supported features on linux.

Below are the configuration used:

Kernel Info : 4.15.0-29-generic

Ubuntu : #31~16.04.1-Ubuntu

Wi-Fi Chipset : Intel Dual Band Wireless -AC 8265

Driver : iwlwifi - 4.15.0-29-generic

Firmware version : 34.0.1

Allow me to investigate the limited features if the Intel® adapter using Linux, in the meantime please try and provide me the following: Have you tried updating the wireless driver on the system? Refer to the link below for available drivers or you can also refer to the Linux distro for more available drivers. What is the model to your system? Does the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 come pre-installed on the system? Thanks for the reply.

I'm using Dell latitude 3590 Laptop with Wi-Fi chipset upgraded with "Intel Dual Band Wireless -AC 8265".After upgrading Wi-Fi chipset .. WiFi is up automatically with preloaded driver and firmware. I haven't tried updating wireless driver in the system.

The only issue i see is laptop(STA) sticks to AP until -85dbm, then it disconnects to current AP and connects to new AP. I don't see the wifi roam is

working on Ubuntu linux . Do we have a way to change or support roaming aggressiveness on linux.
