How to auto detect a second monitor

I have to manual detect the second monitor every time I time out. I have a HDMI cable and this was not a problem with older pin connection models. ​My graphics is Intel HD Graphics Control Panel.

What is the model number of your processor?

What operating system? Windows 10? What version? 1903?

Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

Is your device a laptop or desktop? Provide model number.

This is an Intel Core™ i5-6300U CPU @ w240GHz

Windows 10 ent v1709

No have not tried a different cable

I have a Dell laptop LatitudeE7470

Get yourself updated from 1709 to 1903.

Try a different cable.

 

And, contact Dell for assistance, as they are solely responsible for your support and warranty.
