Trying to update a d435 to Signed_Image_UVC_5_9_11_0.bin from Signed_Image_UVC_5_9_9_2.bin.
The update worked perfectly in the past when we updated the device to Signed_Image_UVC_5_9_9_2.bin - but this time.
When we run intel-realsense-dfu.exe the device shows as being available:
Intel (TM) Updatable Devices List
[1]Intel(R) RealSense(TM) 435 with RGB Module Depth (FW Version: 5.9.9.2)
We then run the update ...
Enter camera number to update: (any out of bounds index to go back to main menu)1
Enter path and filename (e.g. c:\Documents\newFirmware.bin: )Signed_Image_UVC_5_9_11_0.bin
Updating firmware to Signed_Image_UVC_5_9_11_0.bin
No DFU device was connected
Failed to burn firmware
Press any key to continue . . .
The system disconnects the device - then a windows system message shows.
"The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it"
Would appreciate any input

Ive done some regression testing on a second box ... the issue seems may be related to a recent windows update.
I was able to correctly run the firmware on another computer with an earlier version of windows 10 it is running a windows 10 pre build 1803 version.
I also noted on that machine that the usb port was 3.1 - which could be another possible source of the issue.
Either way - it does not seem to be a faulty sensor as such - but more some sort of driver or windows software version conflict.

PS i know ive seen other people discussing the exact same issue that mentioned using windows 8.1 to do the firmware update as an option as well.

如果您已经在使用Windows,那么奇怪的是,它对Windows10Home进行了更改以使其可以正常工作,但我很高兴您能够成功升级。
If you were already using Windows then it is strange that it took a change to Windows 10 Home for it to work, but I am very pleased that you were able to upgrade successfully.

Hi,
I Downloaded and installed the fixed UWP file - the installer reports as completed.
When i connected the d435 a notification pops up saying setting up device and then ready to go.
But when I open the realsense viewer - it reports that firmware version is still:05.09.09.02.
Further if i download the manual DFU updater -- and attempt to perform the update manually - I still get the same result as the original post -
No DFU found - during the firmware update phase
Really need to get this sorted
Thanks again in advance for your assitance.

Hi Alexandra,
Thanks for your assistance and input. The regression testing has revealed some other odd issues with the same machine that was causing the problems.
It has 3 x USB3.0 ports and 3 x USB2.0 ports ... of the USB 3.0 ports only 2 seem to work correctly with the D435.
The third USB 3.0 reports itself as a USB3,0 port in the realsense viewer - but acts more like a USB2.0 connection - it shows reduced size options for the depth sensor - and refuses to connect at 1280x720 depth size.
Is this still some sort of driver issue - or is there some sort of hardware settings that i am unaware off?

Hi balder_m,
Could you try different ports also?
Can you try doing the update on a different computer?
Please run rs-enumerate-devices to make sure that the camera is being detected.
Regards,
Alexandra
