Dear Intel Support/Expert,

While I use Platform Designer to generate an Jesd204b IP. I need LMF = 4,16, 8. but once I change the Wrapper options to "Phy Only", after I click save, the LMF will be forced to LMF = 4,16, 2.

is there any limitation when select "Phy Only"?

Hi Sir

I have also tried these LMF settings on PHY-only mode, F value always being default to '2' after clicking the 'Generate HDL'.

My understanding is that this configuration is not supported, hence it's forced to change to 2.

This issue has been reported to the IP developer.

The plan is to fix this JESD204B Phy-only wrapper issue in next Quartus software release.

An update, this is not a bug. In fact F parameter only use in transport layer (MAC layer). When you select Phy-Only mode with Physical Layer only, the F parameter can be ignore not use.
