Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160MHz (Netwtw12) error internet connection drop on 5ghz

I have issues with this wireless adapter (Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160MHz) I have a custom built Desktop with a PRO-Z690-A-WIFI-DDR4 Motherboard, I7 12700k CPU, DDR4 32gb and a RTX 4070ti on a install of windows 11 

THE ERROR

(The description for Event ID 5007 from source netwtw12 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer

if the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. 

The following information was included with the event:

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table)

The problem with the AX211 is it drops out on the 5ghz mode when under load such as downloading ,speed test or gaming with a netwtw12 cannot be found in the event viewer. I have tried all the drivers from motherboard manufacture and even drivers from intel none of them resolve the issue. With the latest driver the netwtw10 error does not occur only the netwtw12 does. If I use a older driver it gives the netwtw10 but not the netwtw12 either way I get constant 5ghz drops and loose connection completely even on a clean install of windows 11 this doesn't fix the issue please fix had this issue since late 2022.

However on the forum in the link I also had the netwtw10 error as well because the older driver I had installed would throw that up instead of the netwtw12 in the event viewer. If I use the latest driver on either the motherboard manufacturer or on the intel website it will not fix the issue even on a clean install of windows 11 it still seems to have the same problem.

1. Is this the original adapter that came pre-installed on your computer or did you change/install the adapter to this one?   

2. Is the Bluetooth working?   

3. Are you using the antennas that came with the adapter?

4. What is the brand and model name of your router/AP?

5. What is the BIOS version installed?

2. Perform a clean install of the Intel driver:

3. Perform all the Windows updates, including the optional.

4. Check for any firmware update for your AP. 

5. Check with MSI to confirm if there is any malfunction with the motherboard.

      // I have already clean installed the latest driver for ax211 from both motherboard manufacturer and also from intel neither works.

    // That they are aware of there is not any malfunction everything else works correctly.

Is the router the problem or the Wi-Fi adapter. All of my other devices connect to 5ghz and have no issue. The ax211 however looses connection constantly at random times but mostly under load. The 2.4ghz connection works on the ax211 however that cuts my internet speed drastically down compared to the 5ghz.

• Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18377/intel-system-support-utility-for-windows.html  
• Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".  
• To save your scan, click Next and click Save.

AC Wifi 5 Router does not have any settings to run on AX, only Wifi 6 and 6E wifi routers have that setting, further AC routers can connect 80 MHZ max. Wifi 6 160 MHz is native,, 211AX wifi 6E has 3 bands and runs best on 6Ghz band and for that need a 6E wifi router and may be able to squeeze by with Wifi 6 router.

My router supports 160Mhz channel width. Also the Wi-Fi adapter is backwards compatible with older connection types such as ac,n so there should be no issue with connections. Also when I google max channel width for ac it has 160Mhz as the max.

Hi SpaceChrome, I've been having the same problems and may have found a partial fix. My motherboard is a Z790-P Wifi 6E, also has the AX211, and comes with two attachable wifi antennas. Out of curiosity and stupidity, I decided to remove one of the antennas (although I could never recommend doing this), and that somehow has fixed the stability issues.

Of course, it about halved my wifi speed, but it's been preferable to disabling 802.11n/ac/ax entirely. Hopefully this proves to aid in figuring out a real solution.

Thanks for your patience. Based on the investigation, I recommend you try the latest driver version 22.230.0 and if the issue persists with this driver, you must check with MSI since the wireless card may need to be replaced.

I've encountered with this since I got my new PC:
MSI B760M Mortar wifi DDR5 with the same AX211 / 4070Ti /13700F

Every time I open game like dying light 2 the 5G wireless connection gets killed. 2.4G works fine tho.

Intel AX211 is a tri-band wifi card with preference to 6 Ghz band @160Mhz . Its trying to handshake at 6 Ghz connection speed. Buy a wifi 6E router and problem solved, a very very few AX211 cards run well on Wifi 5 not only is Wifi 5 limited to 80 Mhz, there many many more features that Wifi 5 is missing and that a Wifi 6E card is expecting and trying to load the drivers for. You have a high end wifi card why not a matching wifi router ?

Not sure that's the issue. I have Eero 6E routers and a Lenovo Legion with the AX211 wifi chipset. I'm being disconnected at random as well. BIOS, Drivers, etc up to date.

Since the AX211 came installed Lenovo would use a mobo with 600 series chipset, the issue most likely is a problem with connections from your cable modem to eero 6e router or settings.

You can set up your eeros behind your existing router, in either double NAT or bridged mode (if using either of these methods, it’s recommended to disable the wifi broadcast on the Xfinity gateway, unless you are also subscribed to Xfinity’s TV service). Alternatively, you can bridge your Xfinity gateway, and only use eero for all of your devices (if you choose to do this, only the Gateway eero can be connected to the Xfinity gateway with an ethernet cable)."
